Mobilization Program for Minority Contractors

NRT & Associates, Inc. helped to create a mobilization program for minority contractors at the Economic & Community Development Institute in Columbus, Ohio, which was launched in July 2017. Nancy R. Tidwell served on the Advisory Board through September 2022 but the organization continues to provide services for minority contractors. The original program, Capital for Construction, provided industry-specific training and much needed low-interest short-term loans for small contractors who cannot afford to wait on delayed payments from general contractors. In early 2022, the program expanded services and is now known as the Minority Contractor Resource Center (MCRC).
