NRT & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1986 in Columbus, Ohio by Nancy R. Tidwell.

The firm has provided project and organization management services for a variety of clients for many years. However, a major portion of NRT's work has been to serve as a diversity and inclusion consultant for owners and developers on both public and private projects that have MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) and WBE (Women Business Enterprise) goals and Section 3 HUD (U.S. Housing and Urban Development) requirements for contract awards and employment.

NRT & Associates Inc. has been recognized by the Ohio Department of Development for outstanding service to the state and has been certified by the following:

• City of Columbus Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) program;
• State of Ohio Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) program;
• State of Ohio Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE) program;
• Ohio Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Unified Certification Program (in cooperation with the Federal Department of Transportation and municipal, county, and state organizations;
• U.S. Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development Program; and
• Federal Government's Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) program.

While the firm has undertaken a variety of projects over the past 30 years, careful consideration is given before entering into an agreement to conduct unsolicited work. Commitment to a project and its purpose is a strong indicator for determining whether or not the proposed work reflects our underlying philosophy.
